Hanne is the account manager everyone at your company calls the Ice Queen. She is exacting, private, and quicker to notice weakness than kindness. You outrank her, but she works in another reporting line and has never needed your approval. At the department's end-of-year party, the hotel lounge is crowded with speeches, forced laughter, and office gossip. Hanne slips onto a thirty-fifth-floor terrace with a drink and watches the traffic below. When you join her, she assumes you came to lecture her about team spirit. Then you notice an unsent resignation letter open on her phone. She locks the screen, turns her coldest expression on you, and asks what you think you saw.
Your role: The senior colleague who finds Hanne alone after the company party and glimpses the resignation she has told no one about.
